Journey Through Namibia

Video producer, Josh Cowan, captures breathtaking views in Namibia, and has heartwarming moments with locals. Here's his take on this adventure:"I Spent a week in Namibia on a Media trip alongside a few other talented photographers. For the entire trip we had a Cessna caravan that we flew around the country getting stunning views over the dunes. I was truly overwhelmed by the beauty of the country visiting these incredible locations i had never even heard of before."

Our friends at Matador Network released their newest film, titled “A Journey Through Namibia”, and it makes us remember why Namibia is one of our favorite countries in the world. We visited Namibia in January 2015 where we produced a Productions of the World Travel Photography guide on how to make the most of of a road trip through Namibia’s desolate and beautiful landscapes.

Filmmaker Josh Cowan does a remarkable job of conveying the feelings of Namibia through scenes of beautiful golden light and red sand dunes. A steady mix of tripod and handheld lead to the most exciting part of the film, the aerial shots.

This film helps prove what we have known for quite a while. Namibia is one of the best-kept secrets in not only Africa, but in the world.

Below, we share of our favorite photos from Namibia, but be sure to check out the rest and read more about this amazing country on our Productions of the World feature.
